Susan Freeman needs a lung transplant. She is receiving less than 20% function from her lungs right now. Things we take for granted (like walking through a mall or working a job) are now impossible for Susan. Without this transplant she will DIE within a year or two. The procedure is very expensive and insurance will NOT cover it all. In fact, without funding, Susan may never be able to have this necessary operation. And - even after the operation - unforeseen problems that are costly do arise. The medications she will need to take will not all be covered by insurance. Many of these medications are new -- and we all know how much "new" medications cost these days! She needs all the financial support she can get! |
| Susan is waiting to be placed on the list to receive her new lungs. Without our help Susan will not receive enough funds to be considered a serious candidate! | |

The clock is ticking away! "Access to Care", a program of The Georgia Transplant Foundation will match dollar-for-dollar the collected amount of donations (up to $10,000) received before April 27th. That is why we need to act now. Her goal is $10,000. Her cut-off date is April 27, 2008 and the clock is ticking! Today, Susan's fund has collected a little over $2500 toward her goal. |
